About Champions of Peace
Champions of Peace-Kenya also popularly known as (CoP) is a grass-root Non-Governmental Organization whose Vision is towards a more Stable, Secure and Peaceful Communities where Human Rights’ and Dignity is respected and upheld.
Champions of Peace Works with families, communities, governments, corporate entities and non-state actors to bring long lasting change to individuals affected in conflict and disasters. This has been made possible through generous contribution from our individual donors here in Kenya and abroad, private cooperation and international partners.
CoP was founded in 2012 and work within 12 Counties 10 of which are based in Western Kenya including Nakuru and Uashin Gishu. CoP has continued implementing grass-root and regional programs within the following thematic areas:
- Peace, Security and Conflict Mitigation.
- Counter Violent Extremism.
- Civic engagement and governance.
- Youth empowerment.
- Safe migration and decent work program.
- Orphans and Vulnerable Children, girls and young mothers.

COPK will deliver its vision by igniting the people’s critical consciousness on governance through advocacy, civic engagement, institutional strengthening and coalition building.
Mission
Promote constitutionalism,participatory democratic governance and institutional development through sustainable civic education, an all-inclusive platform for citizens engagement on good governance,and public oversight in order to build sustain peace and security.
